GLOUSTER, Ohio , October 26, 2007 – Concessioner Xanterra Parks & Resorts has announced a three-month renovation project at Burr Oak State Park Resort (www.burroakresort.com).The resort will be closed for the duration of the project, which will commence Dec. 1, 2007. The resort is scheduled to reopen March 1, 2008.

Highlights of the project include installation of an elevator and a variety of other ADA-related enhancements, installation of a new roof on the main resort building, re-paving the parking lot, pool repairs and landscaping enhancements including the replacement of a fence and the addition of a gazebo for outdoor weddings and other events.

Burr Oak State Park Resort is located on the edge of the Wayne National Forest in Southern Ohio . Its lodge features a spacious lobby with huge windows offering spectacular views of the hills, trees and Burr Oak Lake . The resort includes 60 guest rooms; 30 fully furnished cabins; a campground; five meeting rooms; indoor and outdoor pools; tennis, basketball, volleyball, horseshoe and badminton courts and a playground. The park includes 40 miles of hiking trails, a 640-acre lake that allows outboard motors up to 10 horsepower and a marina with four launch ramps and pontoon boat rentals.
